Daily Hours:

9:05 am-3:44 pm

Our doors open for students at 8:45 am. Breakfast is available until the school day begins at 9:05 am.

Our school day is packed with teaching and learning, therefore students are expected to be in their seats and ready to learn at 9:05 am.

Dismissal for car riders begins around 3:35 pm. Bus riders are dismissed as their busses arrive, beginning at 3:44 pm.

Mission

It is the mission of Winfield Elementary School, a partnership of students, staff, families, and community, to provide continuous academic progress in a physically and emotionally safe environment. Winfield Elementary School will produce self-directed lifelong learners, creative problem solvers, and responsible citizens by facilitating opportunities for students to use individual abilities to achieve their personal best.

Dear Winfield Friends and Family,

Welcome to Winfield Elementary! If you are a new family- we are thrilled to welcome you! If you are a returning family- we are pleased to see you again! I hope you will find our school website informative and useful as a resource during your time with us.

Winfield Elementary serves approximately 600 students in Preschool through Fifth Grade. In addition, we offer one multi-age Applied Skills Classroom to support children with exceptional needs and to assist in facilitating inclusive education. Our team of 23 classroom teachers, 5 special education teachers, 3 related arts teachers, and a support staff of 25+ are here to meet the academic, emotional, and social needs of our students.

Highlights of our instructional programming include:

Technology enhanced courses and One-to-One Chromebooks
Formative/Summative Assessments-NWEA MAP Suite (Reading, Language Arts, Mathematics)
English Language Arts: CKLA Skills (phonics K-2), CKLA Knowledge (comprehension K-5)
Math: Bridges in Mathematics, Dreambox
Social/emotional: Second Step Program, PAWS (schoolwide behavior), Brain-aligned instruction
High-ability enrichment, MTSS interventions, Exceptional Education services
